It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Time to break out the hot beverages, hearty foods, warm clothes, and it’s time to binge-watch scary shows and movies.

Luckily for Netflix subscribers, they have a full page laid out for you to explore all their Halloween and scary content. But to get you started, we’ll tell you some of our favs.

American Horror Story

We may be biased, but American Horror Story is one of the best shows to binge on Netflix. It’s an anthology, so all each season is a new story, but along the way, they all start blending together and crossing over. Not only is the series spooky, but it is clever, suspenseful, funny, disturbing, and truly fascinating. There are currently seven seasons, so you better hurry and get started. But they work all year round, not just on Halloween.

Hubie Halloween

This just-released movie starring Adam Sandler is a lighthearted comedy about Halloween’s biggest fan. It also features Julie Bowen, Kevin James, Ray Liotta, Maya Rudolph, Kenan Thompson, and Shaquille O’Neal.

A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting

This is a family-friendly option for Halloween entertainment. Based on the popular book series A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Huntingis about a high school student who agrees to babysit on Halloween. Of course, things go wrong, which leads to her becoming a part of a secret society of babysitters who protect children from monsters.

Silence of the Lambs

As we previously reported, the Silence of the Lambs home is currently for sale. Before you possibly purchase it, you should see what the hype is about, right? This classic stars Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, and Scott Glenn and is a psychological thriller perfect for the Halloween season.

American Murder: The Family Next Door

Not only is American Murder: The Family Next Door terrifying, but it’s a true story. The just-released documentary tells the story of Shanann Watts and her two young daughters, who all went missing in Frederick, Colorado.

The Haunting of Bly Manor

Season two of The Haunting of Hill House is out, and it doesn’t disappoint. The Haunting of Bly Manor is a different story, but it is equally as intense and disturbing.

Ratched features Sarah Paulson and is created by Ryan Murphy, who is also behind American Horror Story.  The series follows Mildred Ratched and is based on the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
