Metallica Raises Over $1.3M From Charity Livestream
Metallica announced they raised over $1.3 million from their second All Within My Hands Helping Hands Concert livestream.
The livestream took place on November 14 and also featured an online auction with a variety of items, including some of the instruments the band played during the performance.
The band said in a statement, “Metallica thanks all those who supported AWMH by watching, donating and participating in the online auction. Thanks to the fans and generous sponsors, Metallica’s first ever pay-per-view event live-streamed on November 14 has raised over $1.3 million thus far. Those funds will be used to work with partners at Feeding America and the American Association of Community Colleges, along with supporting Covid and disaster relief efforts in the coming months.”
Fans interested in checking out the PPV concert can still do so by buying a “virtual ticket” at Nugs.tv through December 1. Proceeds from virtual ticket sales will benefit Metallica’s All Within My Hands charity.
