On their website, they state to watch for criminal activity involving falsification, theft, and illegal advertising of COVID-19, as they have seen many cases of people selling and administering fake vaccines. They add that they’ve seen thousands of websites and online pharmacies selling illicit medicines and medical devices. And some of those websites contain various cyber threats.
To avoid coming across a scam, Interpol says it’s best to be skeptical. “Offers which appear too good to be true usually are.” They lastly add to be on the safe side, always double check with national health authorities or the World Health Organization.
