Houston Tumlin has passed away at the age of 28.

The child actor died by suicide on Tuesday, March 23. Tumlin had starred in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby' in 2006 while playing the role of Will Ferrell's son.

Tumlin took his own life at his home located in Pelham, Alabama. TMZ has reported that his girlfriend was inside the home at the time of the tragedy and has yet to find a note left behind.

Tumlin had been serving in the Army's 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell. Several of his friends and fellow members of the military have shared their condolences via Twitter.
