With Jack Leiter taken by the Texas Rangers as the second overall pick in the 2021 Major League Baseball Draft, Delbarton Baseball Head Coach Bruce Shatel has now seen two members of his 2019 team drafted in the first round (Anthony Volpe was the first-round pick by the New York Yankees two years ago).

Coach Shatel has helmed the Green Wave for 11 seasons, amassing an incredible 214-76-2 record in that time.

Jim Monaghan and JoHo spoke with Coach Shatel on the Morning Jolt on Jack's remarkable career both at Delbarton and Vanderbilt, and what it was like seeing another one of his players drafted in the first round.
