Jersey Magazine 8-1-21
This morning, Jim Monaghan welcomes two guests to WDHA’s Jersey Magazine. And, Rock N’ Ruff joins the show this week, too!
Robert Kessler is the Senior Manager Donor Recruitment for Vitalant, a nonprofit organization that collects blood from volunteer donors and provides blood, blood products and services both here in New Jersey, and across the United States.
Jim and Bob discuss the critical need for blood donations, even as the pandemic shows signs of slowing down, and how WDHA listeners can assist. (Note – due to a technical issue, Bob’s camera was not available during the interview. There’s nothing wrong with your device.)
Karen Leies is the Vice President of Resource Development for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, an organization that we here at WDHA have partnered with for many years. As New Jersey comes out of the pandemic, there are many challenges facing the CFBNJ and those here in the Garden State who are food insecure. Jim Monaghan speaks with Karen about how the CFBNJ has fared during COVID and what lies ahead.
ROCK N’ RUFF – This week’s Rock N’ Ruffer is Kilo, an 8-year old mix from the Randolph Regional Animal Shelter who is an absolute doll. Kilo is gentle, sweet & friendly with everyone including other dogs. If you are looking for a great pup to add to your pack, reach out to The Randolph Regional Animal Shelter at RandolphRegionalAnimalShelter.org. Terrie Carr tells you more about Kilo in the audio below.
