Jersey Magazine 9-12-21
This morning, Jim Monaghan has two interview segments on WDHA’s Jersey Magazine – Ed Randall, the CEO of Fans For the Cure, and Brian Dorber from the Eric C. Blohm Foundation.
Ed Randall is synonymous with baseball here in the NJ/NY area. He’s the long-time host of “Talking Baseball” on radio and television as well as a published author.
A prostate cancer survivor, Ed is the founder and CEO of Fans For the Cure, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that seeks to promote men’s health by advocating for the early detection of prostate cancer and best practices in the treatment of the disease.
With September being Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Ed and Jim talk about the work of the foundation, steps both men and women can take, as well as the 2021 baseball season.
The Eric C. Blohm Foundation, named in honor of the late Eric Blohm from Hopatcong, is a nonprofit organization designed to hold a number of fund raisers in various forms in order to provide financial support to select organizations engaged in cancer detection and treatment, as well as those participating in the well being and care (physical and emotional) of children battling cancer. The 6th annual Eric C. Blohm Motorcycle Charity Ride is coming up Saturday September 18. Brian Dorber and Jim Monaghan talk about the history of the foundation, and this year’s event.

COACH SHEETS’ RIDE IN – Jeremy Sheetinger is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the Grizz Gang to the 2021 NAIA National Championship. His weekly “fire me up” tweet every Thursday may, on the surface, be geared toward his fellow baseball coaches, but his motivational message can easily be applied to the classroom, workplace, and your personal relationships.
