Rock Candy

Ringo Starr and over 100 drummers and percussionists took part in an epic drum cover of The Beatles’ classic tune “Come Together.”

The cover was part of the “Drum Together” campaign from WhyHunger, a New York-based non-profit organization that was founded by Harry Chapin and radio DJ Bill Aures to help end hunger and fight for other social justice issues around the world.

In addition to Starr, other notable artists who took part in the cover include Chad Smith, Cindy Blackman Santana, Kenny Aronoff, Liberty DeVitto, Matt Cameron, Max Weinberg, Nandi Bushell, Stewart Copeland and many more.

Starr said in a statement on the recording, “We all can agree that no kid should be hungry, and everyone should have access to nutritious food. This is a great cause that I’ve supported in the past and a great track – one of my favorite Beatles songs. So when Jim Keltner asked me to join all these other drummers I was happy to. Peace and love”
