Jersey Magazine 12-19-21
Each week on the Jersey Magazine we pick topics of local interest to our listeners.
Jim Monaghan’s guests this morning include “Daugher #1,” voice actor extraordinaire Rob Paulsen, and Bloomfield College’s new head baseball coach Jack Winters.
Jersey Magazine host Jim Monaghan and Courtney Monaghan have a special relationship – father/daughter. With the New Year just a couple of weeks away, we’re about to be besieged with all the “New Year/new me” posts on social media. As a wellness and nutrition coach, Courtney has some thoughts on what’s wrong with the “new me” mentality and shares them with her dad, plus some tips on setting realistic, sustainable goals. To contact Courtney, reach out to her on her Instagram page – Courtney Monaghan || Wellness Coach.
This past week on the WDHA Morning Jolt, Jim Monaghan was joined by Rob Paulsen, one of the top voice actors in America. He has given life to more than 250 characters and you’ve heard him on hundreds of commercials. What you’ve never heard him do before is his impression of Jim Monaghan. Rob will be bringing his incredible talents to the Wellmont Theater on January 23 in Animaniacs In Concert, a can’t-miss event. Jim and Rob talk about various aspects of Rob’s remarkable career, and his role as a spokesman for the grassroots organization Boo 2 Bullying which, as the name implies, seeks to help both children and parents deal with bullying.
Jim Monaghan and Jack Winters share baseball roots that go back two decades – Jim coached the Don Bosco Prep freshman against River Dell in Jack’s freshman year. They worked together for a number of years at Professional Baseball Instruction in Bergen County before Jack started his college coaching career which has seen him handle the pitching staffs at Bergen County College, Centenary University, and NYU. Recently named the head coach at Bloomfield College, Jack talks about the challenges he faces in his first head coaching job, and a fundraiser he’s running for the Bloomfield College baseball program.

Merry Kitmas! In keeping with tradition, Terrie Carr and the Randolph Regional Animal Shelter team up for their annual Merry Kitmas segment. This year features a variety of great cats and kittens to choose from.
