Jersey Magazine 2-6-22
Each week on the Jersey Magazine we pick topics of local interest to our listeners.
Jim Monaghan‘s guests this morning are MLB umpire Phil Cuzzi from Belleville, and Theresa Spencer, from the American Heart Association.
Belleville’s own Phil Cuzzi is a Major League Baseball Umpire who has had a most interesting career – one that has seen him work no-hitters, All-Star Games, playoffs, and more. He is also the founder of the Robert Luongo ALS Fund which is holding its 18th annual dinner on February 9 in Belleville.
Theresa Spencer is the Communications Director for the American Heart Association in our area. With February being American Heart Health Month, Theresa and Jim Monaghan discuss some of the events happening in our area for heart health awareness.
This week on Rock N’ Ruff, we invite you to meet Reese, a handsome Shepherd Hound mix who is 4 years old, in foster care and learning basic obedience, from Eleventh Hour Rescue in Randolph.
COACH SHEETS’ RIDE IN – Jeremy Sheetinger is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the Grizz Gang to the 2021 NAIA National Championship. His weekly “fire me up” tweet every Thursday may, on the surface, be geared toward his fellow baseball coaches, but his motivational message can easily be applied to the classroom, workplace, and your personal relationships. This week, Coach Sheets talks about trusting the process.

“You become what you practice”
An absolute 🤯 from @jaegersports & we need to remind ourselves of this!
Starts with:
- Awareness: recognize needed change
- Intentional: practice/reps
- Trust Process: it takes time
