How Taylor Hawkins Started His Career With Two Canadian Female Rockers
TC here and friends the devastating news of the death of Foo Fighters powerhouse Taylor Hawkins has us reeling. A talent, father, husband, bandmate and friend gone way too soon. A beacon of light during Foo Fighters shows, his presence was electric.
He was a perfect rock star. Immense talent, personality and a lover of life. A shooting star.
My first memories of seeing Taylor drum was not with Foo Fighters but with two female vocalists. Sass Jordan and Alanis Morissette. Both artists out of Canada. Sass actually called her band “Colorcode” and it was MONSTER with guitarist Stevie Salas as well.

Of course Taylor joined Alanis Morissette as part of her “Jagged Little Pill ” touring band which was sheer magic. I was lucky enough to see him drum with both ladies. He left Alanis to drum with Dave and the Foo’s and the rest is history.
