Jersey Magazine with Jim Monaghan

Each week on the Jersey Magazine we pick topics of local interest to our listeners. This week, Jim Monaghan talks with Robert Hatch, Senior Management Donor Recruitment for Vitalant, and he replays last week’s chat with Dave Popkin, CEO of Hilltop Management.

Every few seconds here in the United States, someone is in need of blood. The need is especially critical here in New Jersey.

Robert Hatch is the Senior Manager Donor Recruitment for Vitalant. He and Jim Monaghan talked about the current need for blood here in the Garden State and how you can help.

Sports broadcaster, drummer, and did we mention that he’s the CEO of his own company? Dave Popkin is indeed a true renaissance man.

Dave and Jim Monaghan met when Dave invited him to be a part of the Newark Bears Baseball Club in 1999 for the team’s inaugural season in the Brick City.

Dave’s company Hilltop Management is a full-service consulting firm that specializes in the management and marketing of non-profits, academic institutions, and more. Hilltop is currently looking to hire event managers for the coming fall and winter.

This week, Rock N’ Ruff is happy to introduce you to Maddie from the Denville Animal Shelter. Maddie is about two years old and was rescued from a hoarding situation. She is super sweet, gentle and calm, and would love a calm household with a fenced in yard as she is learning to be a dog and walk on a leash. Maddie would love a canine buddy as well and with her calm, sweet demeanor- a patient, super friendly dog would be a great fit to show her the ropes!

COACH SHEETS’ RIDE INJeremy Sheetinger is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the Grizz Gang to the 2021 NAIA National Championship. His weekly “fire me up” tweet every Thursday may, on the surface, be geared toward his fellow baseball coaches, but his motivational message can easily be applied to the classroom, workplace, and your personal relationships. No matter where you are in life, there’s a good chance that someone has already experienced what you’re going through right now. As Coach Sheets says, “We’re all on the same journey.”

Looking for something fun to do in the area? Chris Swendeman has you covered with this week’s Local Look.
