Jersey Magazine 9-4-22
Each week on the Jersey Magazine we pick topics of local interest to our listeners. This week, Jim Monaghan talks with Dr. Sabiha Hussain and Emily Amitin about this year’s Lung Force Walk in Bridgewater, and he replays last week’s conversation with Robert Hatch from Vitalant.
On Saturday September 17, the American Lung Association is hosting the 8th annual Lung Force Walk – Bridgewater at Duke Island Park.
Dr. Sabiha Hussain, associate professor of medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and Emily Amitin, American Lung Association of New Jersey Development Director, joined Jim Monaghan to talk about this year’s event.
Every few seconds here in the United States, someone is in need of blood. The need is especially critical here in New Jersey.
Robert Hatch is the Senior Manager Donor Recruitment for Vitalant. He and Jim Monaghan talked about the current need for blood here in the Garden State and how you can help.
This week, Rock N’ Ruff introduces us to Duke from Eleventh Hour Rescue in Randolph. Duke is 9 months old, calm, smart, loyal and sweet and loves living in his fosster home with his three canine foster siblings who live with him- YUP- He loves other dogs! Duke is a beautiful black/brindle color, house-trained and is easy on his leash. We would love to see Duke find his forever family and be able to start his new puppy chapter.
COACH SHEETS’ RIDE IN – Jeremy Sheetinger is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the Grizz Gang to the 2021 NAIA National Championship. His weekly “fire me up” tweet every Thursday may, on the surface, be geared toward his fellow baseball coaches, but his motivational message can easily be applied to the classroom, workplace, and your personal relationships. This week’s message speaks to the importance of letting the important people in our lives know how much of an impact they have on us.
