How Ghost Fans Broke Spotify’s Servers
Ghost fans are incredibly dedicated. How dedicated are they? They broke Spotify’s servers yesterday (September 13.)
Ghost was scheduled for a special Q&A session for Spotify Live. However, fans logged into the event with such force it caused Spotify’s servers to crash.
Spotify issued a statement saying, “We want to sincerely apologize to all @thebandGHOST fans who were invited to today’s exclusive live room. Unfortunately, due to overwhelming demand, we experienced technical difficulties and had to cancel.”
“We know you made time in your day and missed out on a chance to connect with one of your favorite artists. We hope you can join a Spotify Live event in the future.”

After the crash, a “Message from the Clergy” was shared [MESSAGE FROM THE CLERGY]
We wish to inform you Ghost appreciates their fans' dedication & time. Though proud to have crashed @SpotifyLive's servers, Ghost is disappointed with this experience. Alternative opportunities are being explored, because nothing shall keep us apart. https://t.co/48nkuHBY0M

Let this be a lesson for the entire music world. Rock may not be the focus of the mainstream, but never doubt the intensity of its fans.
