Each week on the Jersey Magazine we pick topics of local interest to our listeners. This week, Jim Monaghan talks with Roger Keyser from Eleventh Hour Rescue and WDHA’s own Terrie Carr about next Saturday’s Puptoberfest event, and Brian Bergen, Republican Assemblyman from Denville about the town’s upcoming food truck festival.
Puptoberfest 2022 is coming! Saturday October 1st is the date for this year’s event, to be held at beautiful Horseshoe Lake in Succasunna.
Roger Keyser from Eleventh Hour Rescue and WDHA’s own Terrie Carr join Jim Monaghan to talk about the history of this wonderful event and what is planned for this year’s festivities.
Denville resident Brian Bergen is hosting this year’s annual Denville Food Truck Festival, to be held Sunday October 2 from 12-6 PM at Gardner Field.
A West Point graduate and an eight-year military veteran, Brian is also an Assemblyman for the 25th District covering parts of Morris and Somerset Counties.
He and Jim Monaghan discuss this year’s event, as well as various issues pertaining to United States military veterans.
This week, Rock N’ Ruff introduces us to Sam the Shepherd. Sam stopped by to visit us at WHDA and is a fun loving, easy going and joyous dog! Found wandering the streets in Philadelphia, Sam wasn’t in great shape, but that didn’t affect his amazing rock-star personality. After landing at Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary and getting some TLC, Sam is ready for his new home.
Sam is 7 years old, great on a leash, likes other dogs and appears to be a pup that would do well with just about any family. AND he has great Shepherd energy and loves to walk and play with toys.
COACH SHEETS’ RIDE IN – Jeremy Sheetinger is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the Grizz Gang to the 2021 NAIA National Championship. His weekly “fire me up” tweet every Thursday may, on the surface, be geared toward his fellow baseball coaches, but his motivational message can easily be applied to the classroom, workplace, and your personal relationships. This morning, Coach Sheets adds some math into the daily equation of our lives.
