Netflix Series ‘The Watcher’ Inspired By Real New Jersey Home
Tis’ the season to be creeped out !!! The Watcher is now on Netflix, do not worry there are no spoilers here as I have just begun to watch this series. I have reached episode three and I can tell you that the creep meter is at a high level.
The Watcher is based on true events that happened in 2014 in Westfield, New Jersey. It’s a new series from writer, director, and producer Ryan Murphy.
He is best known for the American Horror Story series, Ratched, American Crime Story, and Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story which I just finished. Wow, that was a great series with a high creep factor as well. Dahmer has been holding strong as the #1 series on Netflix. But it has now been dethroned by Ryan Murphy’s new series The Watcher.
Ryan and his cocreators put their artistic twist while sprinkling in some of the factual parts. The Broadus family purchased a beautiful mansion in Westfield, NJ in 2014 and start being tormented when they received anonymous letters from someone claiming to be “The Watcher.” The mysterious figure in the series does not just send letters, he or she also stalks through the house at night and calls the residents making this series a horror story that goes beyond creepy threatening letters.
The Watcher has an all-star cast including Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale playing the couple that purchased the home alongside co-stars Jennifer Coolidge, Mia Farrow, Christopher Mcdonald, Isabel Gravitt, Margo Martindale, Michael Nouri, Richard Kind, and More.
I’ll report back on this series when I finish it. So far so efffin good. Stay Creepy my friends.
Imagine moving into your dream home and immediately receiving a menacing letter from someone who says they're watching your family at all times... what would you do?
