WOW! The Morris County 4-H Rocket Team Has Made The NASA Cut!
When I was in school a hundred years ago, the only Rocket Science that was taught to us was making the types of cheap rockets that are the equivalent of fireworks. I guess that’s the best way to describe it.
You can buy them on some major retailers’ sites. But back in my day, we had to make them for science class and then see if they could fly. I can tell you that my rocket was BO BO as Hell. I lit the fuse and it exploded.
Needless to say that I did not learn much about Rocket Science from my Science Teacher that took more Cigarette breaks than an NFL game takes commercial breaks. That is a lot! My classmates and I loved that our teacher took a lot of smoke breaks, that was time for us to goof off. I think I may have gotten a D in that class or maybe an F. It’s better that I do not dabble in the Science field especially Rocket Science.
Thank God for organizations like 4- H in Morris County because they have some very very smart young people that are the only team in New Jersey to qualify for this year’s NASA Student Launch Initiative. It was recently announced that a local 4-H Rocketry Team made the NASA cut.
The NASA Student Launch Initiative has the student teams design, build, and launch a rocket and payload to Nasa specifications which is part of the Rocket Competition.
That is a galaxy far far away from my failure to launch Rocket days in school. GO TEAM Morris County 4-H!!!
