Florida Man Goes Overboard With His Wedding Proposal

This is either going to be a GREAT story to tell the grandkids someday…or a HORRIBLE omen of things to come.
Florida Man Scott Clyne had BIG plans to “pop the question” to his girlfriend Suzie Tucker back in September.
Those plans were disrupted by a little (?) thing called Hurricane Ian.
Scott put Plan B into effect and, along with some friends, went sailing a couple of days ago in the Gulf of Mexico just off the western coast of Florida. While the friends were putting up a “Will you marry me?” banner and scattering rose petals on the deck of the boat, Scott and Suzie stood at the bow of the boat, reenacting the iconic scene from Titanic.
Scott got down on one knee and reached into his pocket for the ring only to have it pop out of his hand and into the water.
And that’s when things REALLY got interesting.
Suzie sees the banner, thinks Scott has fallen off the boat, has no idea the whereabouts of the ring, and is laughing.
Meanwhile, Scott is frantically trying to get to the ring before it sinks to the bottom of the Gulf.
Yep…good times…Florida Man style!
