Florida Man and His Venomous “Pet”
DATELINE – Polk County FL
You’ve heard of Snakes On A Plane…how about snakes on the black market.
And we’re not just talking any snakes. We’re talking about large, venomous reptiles from all over the world, assembled in Florida.
More than 200 of them as a matter of fact.
Which brings us to Florida Man Delvin Sasnett who appears to be in complete denial.
He was one of eight suspects arrested in a years-long investigation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission meant to disrupt a possible venomous reptile black market in Florida.
Sasnett has been a target of investigation going back nearly four years, due to public complaints about him illegally capturing and selling wildlife. Posting about the snakes on social media only served to make things worse for Sasnett who claims the snakes are pets.
You can only imagine what the public defender assigned to this case is going to have to deal with.
