When you were growing up, did you have a sibling you were always being compared to?
“Why can’t you be more like your sister? She always gets A’s on her report card.” “Why can’t you be like your brother and do your chores without being nagged?”
Soon, you might hear “Why can’t you be more like Florida Man?”
Maybe we should be a little more specific here.
Usually, Florida Man is the absolute last person you would want to emulate. Unless your plan is to do something stupid thus landing you in the hoosegow (and admit it…”hoosegow” needs to be re-added into the lexicon).
But in the case of Jeff Perera, his perseverance turned a pre-pandemic job loss into a new career – all because his wife told him to go make a bagel.
Turned into a stay-at-home dad after losing his job (his wife was worried about how Jeff would spend his time), Jeff’s wife Danielle asked him to make a bagel.
That bagel must have turned out pretty well because Jeff’s Bagel Run now has multiple Florida locations.
