Florida Man‘s scams are mainly contained within the Sunshine State, but sometimes his reach goes wait beyond the state boundary lines.
In this case, some of the victims are here in New Jersey.
The Division of Consumer Affairs recently rescinded the licenses of 20 nurses and voided temporary licenses of 46 additional nurses after their names showed up in a database following a federal investigation.
“Operation Nightingale” discovered that several Florida schools – Sienna College, Palm Beach School of Nursing, and Sacred Heart International Institute – had charged thousands of people from across the United States an average of $15,000 for a fake diploma.
The affected nurses will be able to make their respective cases for reinstatement by showing they have received the proper education and training.
