Six years ago we lost an incredible talent and artist. I have so many memories of interviewing Chris Cornell over the years. All of them exceptional. Some of them hard for me to listen to as I remember Chris’s smile, easy going yet intense nature and kind generous spirit.
5/18 is always a hard day as we lost this incredible talent way too soon. Fans have asked me over the years what it was like to speak with Chris. He was such a huge presence. I’ll keep it simple. Chris was a great person. He always understood that I was doing my job and made it so easy for me. Chris had respect for everyone he came in contact with. A genuinely great, giving person who always made the time and was very kind. Personally that’s what I will remember. I’m grateful for his beautiful catalog, legacy and the experiences I was lucky to have had with him during my career.
