Tonight’s 80’s At 8 was a Wall theme and it started with AC/DC ‘s “Fly on The Wall”. In the realm of hard rock, few bands have achieved the iconic status and enduring influence of AC/DC. The band’s 1985 album, “Fly on the Wall,” marked yet another chapter in their illustrious career. The title track, “Fly on the Wall,” serves as a raw and energetic anthem that encapsulates the band’s signature sound and spirit. With its infectious riffs, dynamic vocals, and unapologetic attitude, both the song and the album solidify AC/DC’s place as one of the greatest rock bands of all time. “Fly on the Wall” was released on June 28, 1985, as AC/DC’s tenth studio album. Produced by Angus Young and Malcolm Young, the album captures the band’s trademark hard rock sound and relentless energy. It reached number 7 on the Billboard 200 chart and went on to achieve platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over one million copies in the United States. The title track, “Fly on the Wall,” was released as a single from the album. While it did not achieve the same level of commercial success as some of AC/DC’s earlier hits, it still made its mark on the rock charts. It reached number 24 on the Mainstream Rock chart. The Music video has AC/Dc playing in a bar while some shady characters and the sloppy cowboy bartender interacted with an animated fly that is like the one on the cover of the album.
