Maybe this is the adult version of “the dog ate my homework.”
Imagine the situation.
Inebriated driver exceeding the speed limit. Canine passenger. Police advising you to pull over. You switch places with the dog and tell the cops that it’s the dog who should get the speeding ticket, not you.
You would have to be pretty f’d up to even come up with this excuse let alone try to pull it off.
For the record, this Colorado driver was VERY f’d up when the police put him under arrest.
We’re told that the dog got off with just a warning (and hopefully is in the hands of a new owner).
