Florida Man Leaves Huge Hole and An Ankle Monitor Behind In SWAT Situation

DATELINE – Sumter County FL

Here’s the short version of the story – Florida Man was arrested after he drove a car into an apartment building.

But there is SO much more to the story!

This past Sunday morning at around 4 AM, multiple 911 calls came in about a car that had crashed into an apartment building and the driver was breaking into on-site apartments.

Florida Man Corey Payton ultimately barricaded himself into one of the second-story apartments as a local SWAT unit went into the building.

Payton jumped from the second story, and needed medical attention.

And there is STILL more to the story.

While investigating the crime scene, deputies found an ankle bracelet that Payton had cut off. Seems that Payton was on parole for burglary.

And yet there is STILL more to the story.

Payton has a lengthy rap sheet that includes a total of 139 prior felony charges with 30 total convictions.
