TC ‘s Favorite Soup Spots In North Jersey
Just writing this story makes me want MY SOUP!
Now, let me tell you about my love for soup. Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall……I eat soup. It’s the. most perfect meal, you can combine it with sandwiches, pasta, eat as a snack, meal OR rock it in a giant cup! (My Slash mug usually has soup in it) …..I love it piping hot and have taken to even making it myself- BUT I decided to share a few of my favorite soup spots for our Jersey fam.
This is. my “North Jersey” edition- so let’s go-
My favorite place to get soup in the state is Eppes Essen Deli in Livingston. They have three homemade soups daily (Split Pea, Mushroom Barley) and my all-time favorite Matzo Ball – which is out of this world. A deli since 1956 moving from Newark to Orange and now to Livingston- their Matzo Ball soup is good for everything that ails me! It’s the greatest- Eppes Essen Deli
Moving to Morris County- Arthurs Tavern has the greatest “Farmers Onion” soup known to man- I love to get it with shrimp cocktail and their awesome wedge salad for lunch- drenched in melted cheese it’s incredible. Arthurs Tavern
I’m Italian and LOVE traditional Italian Soups so we travel back to Livingston for Calabria (they have killer Pizza too btw..thin, crunchy, awesome ) and their soup menu rocks! My favorite? Their Tortellini Soup which is so simple with fresh carrots and peas in chicken broth, yet so delish. Their Minestrone and Pasta Fagioli are incredible too. So comforting with their bread and grab a salad too- my fave salad? The Campagna. Calabria
Now hear me out, looking for a “Quick Soup”? Quick Check offers some great choices, great prices and you are in and out! We are luck to have a bunch of Quick Check stores close to WDHA, and their selections are vast, so there is always something yummy simmering to match your taste- Quick Check,
My favorite place to get Asian inspired soup (which I love) is Hunan Taste with locations in Denville and Montclair- It’s simply the greatest. Their food is off the chain- The Chicken Corn and Symphony Seafood are so amazing and very unique. Different and delicious. Hunan Taste
