National Dog Day Is Coming On Monday, August 26th!

It's Terrie Carr and I wish I could declare "National Dog Day" every day. Well, to me, every day is.

"National Dog Day" is a day to celebrate the love, companionship, and devotion our dogs give us, and we give them!

Last year, we were invited by our friends at Calandra's Il Vecchio Cafe in Caldwell to celebrate on their patio, with our dogs, with great food and a fido-friendly menu for our best friends. It was a blast and I'm thrilled we are going back!

Here's How It Works

Reservations are recommended (not required) and you can grab a table with your friends, family, and Fido of course. It Vecchio Cafe does a pawsome job of making everyone feel welcome and their human menu is one of my favorites in the entire state of New Jersey. (A few TC faves.....Their beet salad to start, their Calamari is fantastic, Mozzarella En Carozza, pasta dishes......I LOVE it all!) The atmosphere is so beautiful and rustic outdoors, yet STILL a fine dining experience.

There is also a Fido Friendly menu for your dog, complete with cocktails and dessert. All fine for puppy consumption. Pawgarita's, Deviled Eggs, and Pupcakes just to name a few.

I'll be hosting some cool games, bringing prizes including concert tickets and we will spin some of Rover's favorite Rockers. So come out and join us!

They open at noon and go until 9p and I will be with Team DHA from 5p-8p hosting the "Yappy Hour" with Happy Hour specials all day long.

WDHA's Dog Days Of Summer was a pawsome success! It was fantastic to bring the fun BACK to our radio studio at 55 Horsehill Road and welcome some of our fantastic shelter partners.

Rock and Rescue has always been an important part of what we do at WDHA, helping the community, spreading the word, creating awareness, and supporting the animal community who does so much to help so many.
