Previously on Fuzzy's Fractured Fairy Tales, - Fuzzy took Mater and Lightning from Disney's Cars on a wild Friday night ride in a race to Daisy's Garage that ultimately ended with the Sheriff attempting to pull the two of them over.
Today's episode brings the race to a wild and thrilling (?) finish!
Disney's Cars - Race To A Wild Finish
ANNOUNCER - It's time to listen to one of our favorite magical stories. Erm, well, sort of.
It's Fuzzy's Fractured Fairy Tales on the WDHA Morning Jolt.
FUZZY - And now the conclusion of Disney's Cars - Friday Night Fun.
A fun race between Lightning and Mater has now turned into a police chase with the Sheriff, but Lightning didn't want to play that game.
LIGHTNING - That damn Sheriff has some nerve ruining our Friday Night Fun. If he wants to dial this up a notch, let's turn it up a little and see what this engine can do.
Woohoo!
Take that, you son of a b***h! Take your old school patrol car and sell it on eBay! The only thing of value in that thing is that Boss Hogg bobblehead. You can fetch a dollar for that piece of crap.
MATER - Oh, you showed him, Lightning! That ought to get under his bad chrome job.
SHERIFF - Oh, so the both of you think you're smart? What you don't know is that this car comes equipped with Super Pursuit Mode. I'll be up your bumper in seconds, which makes me smarter.
Here I come!
LIGHTNING - Why by golly that does make him smarter!
But if I activate my oil slick defensive system, he'll slip and slide his fat ass all over the road, and that will make me the smartest one of them all.
FUZZY - As Lightning lined up with the Sheriff behind him and activated his oil slick, Sheriff skidded out of control and crashed into a telephone hole.
It gave Mater an opportunity to fully utilize his V8 engine and get to Daisy's Garage first and win the race.
MATER - Well, alright, looks like I win because the Sheriff is a not-so-smart dou*** bag.
So Daisy, since you're working on my gears, how about we have some Friday Night Fun, too, if you know what I mean? You could stroke my cylinder while I handle your fine line.
DAISY - Mater, I'm a beautiful, highly sophisticated Corvette. Why would I touch an old-rested tow truck like you?
Here's a jar of grease. Stroke your own cylinder!
DAISY - A Corvette? I guess that makes Daisy a high maintenance expensive date.
Mater should consider a Volkswagen Fahrvergnügen instead. They're a cheap date, and the parts are inexpensive too.
National Radio Day – 25 Vintage WDHA Photo Memories (Part 1)
National Radio Day- What does it mean? Well, to me it means the community that IS radio.
It's Terrie Carr, and as you know WDHA IS The Rock Of New Jersey- We have been here for close to 50 years, being a part of your lives, breaking new artists, turning new rockers into classics, celebrating milestones, mourning the sad times with you, partying with you, bringing you live music, experiences and more. This is what live radio does. It's practically impossible to take you through our journey together in 25 photos, so let's do a two-part-er!
I chose a bunch of random WDHA photos- (literally) and came up with vintage memories of Rock The Park, Clam and Jam, Suntan Jam, In-Studio, and more.
A Few WDHA Facts-
WDHA stands for "Drexel Hill Associates" our first station owners Bob Linder and Peter Arnow.
Bob and Peter had a vision and I'm so thankful that not only did I get to work for them, but that they believed in the power of a local, Morris County station that has grown massively over the last 40 plus years.
The station launched on rt. 10 in Randolph and moved to our Cedar Knolls home in 1990. shortly after that, Bob and Peter sold WDHA and our sister station WMTR (which shares our building space)
What A History!
There are SO MANY MEMORIES! If you have one, email me at TC@WDHAFM.COM - follow me in Instagram as well and let me know. Photos welcome of course.
I'm also proud and grateful for everyone who has been a part of our radio family on air and off.
Our listeners, advertisers, staff, interns, and all the animals who have been a part of our journey on Rock N' Ruff! What a fun ride it's been.
Every day for WDHA is "National Radio Day"- Every day- because we spend it with you - our WDHA listening family.

Thank You Radio Family,
Terrie "TC" Carr
