A Weezer Concert Film Is Set For Release
If you missed Weezer performing live in the area, you kind of get a second chance. A Weezer Concert Film is set for release! It’s a stop on their Voyage To The Blue Planet Tour. Now, I reviewed the show I went to, but I have to reiterate a few things.
First off, yes, Weezer plays the Blue Album (their debut) in its entirety. And they knock it out of the park. The guitar riffs, the harmonies, the slow build-ups. It’s a sight to behold. They also play a ton of fan favorites before getting into the Blue Album.
About The Weezer Concert Film
Now, since you have a chance to see this concert streaming from your own home, I don’t want to ruin much. I’ll just tell you that there’s a really cool story that takes place throughout the show. Rivers Cuomo and the band head out on a space adventure. Let’s just say that throughout it, they go through other planets and galaxies and that’s where the “Other” songs come into play.
The concert footage was filmed at Boston’s TD Garden on September 10th. They’ve made it into a full-fledged concert film which you can stream either October 13th or October 14th. The tour’s not over yet, but I think this is so cool for fans who passed on tickets but ae kicking themselves for not going. I almost didn’t. My wife and I thought it was pretty expensive and it was tough to get seats. But after witnessing the whole show, I can tell you…..it was worth it!
I think even from home you’ll get a great experience and be able to follow the story. Plus, the sound will most likely be better as I’m sure it will come from the mixing board.
Even if you’re a passive Weezer fan I highly recommend this. It’s a really fun experience!
