It’s Terrie Carr and 2024 was a fantastic year for rock interviews on my WDHA Interview Series.
Jon Bon Jovi, Slash, Myles Kennedy, Rob Halford, Rickey Medlocke and more checked into the feature for a long-form Zoom hang interview for our listeners and it was such a blast. I decided to put together a few of my favorite moments with just a few of our guests for an end-of-year review- the “Best Of” segment- (although every episode rocked!)
Jon Bon Jovi talks joy, Slash dishes on blues inspiration, The Metal God Rob Halford reveres the Metal Community, Caleb from Beartooth explains music as a healer and more, make up some of my fondest memories of this year’s interviews.
How Reconnect With Rockers Started
Back in 2020 when everyone was locked down, I decided to start “reconnecting” with the rock community and while everyone has been in the “Zoom” mode, WDHA was one of the first (if not the first) stations to do a Zoom interview in April of 2020. The series became so popular on the station and with our artist community, that I decided it had to continue. There is nothing like sitting down with an artist when they are in their own home, tour bus, or personal surroundings and comfortable. It’s been an amazing opportunity to get to know people. Some of the earliest guests…Joe Satriani, George Thorogood, and Brent Smith from Shinedown. Almost 5 years ago!

I’m already recording the 2025 season and first up will be the incredible Myles Kennedy to discuss his tour and Stone Pony show on January 28th. And get ready for some cool surprises!
