Jason Bonham and Jager Henry Bonham Take Over WDHA (Watch)
Jason Bonham Is A legend and The Bonham Legacy Is Carrying On With His Son Jager Henry Bonham
It's Terrie Carr, and I was thrilled when I got the news that drumming god Jason Bonham and his son, artist Jager Henry Bonham would be stopping by WDHA after their SOLD OUT Wellmont Theater show. My first (together) father and son interview, with two talents from a legendary family. WOWZA!
Jason and Jager Bonham On WDHA
Jason Bonham's Legacy Is Massive
We grew up with Jason. Those of us Led Zeppelin fanatics remember the vignette in the Led Zeppelin iconic movie - "The Song Remains The Same" with baby Jason drumming and twirling the sticks during his father, the late MASTER John Bonham's segment- So amazing. Since then, Jason has defined himself as one of rock's most sought after drummers and has been in his own band Bonham, Foreigner, The Circle with Sammy Hagar, Black Country Communion and more and is now selling out shows everywhere as part of "Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening"
Jager Henry- Mortal Sacrifice
Bonham- Wait For You
Dad And Son Take Over WDHA
It was a BLAST having father and son in the studio, trading stories, family jabs and lots of laughs. Jason talks about the career path he almost chose, what it's like to play Madison Square Garden following Bonzo's legacy and what 2025 looks like for his amazing band. Jager discusses what it was like growing up in a legendary rock family, moving from the U.K. to the U.S. and how he completely different sonically from his dad and the Bonham history. It was one of my most fun hours in studio! (and you know I've had some fun there!)
Check out my chat with Jager on WDHA's Reconnect With Rockers too-
