At Six Flags Wild Safari, a huge 350-acre wildlife park in Jackson Township, New Jersey, visitors can wake up to giraffes looking into their windows. The park, home to 1,200 animals from around the world, offers overnight stays for staycations or out-of-towners.
Their new Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa puts guests right in the middle of the action. Each African-style room comes fully decked out for comfort. "The decor, the suite, the site -- all of this is meant to duplicate an experience in Africa," said Ryan Eldredge, the regional manager of public relations, to 6ABC.
Guests staying at the resort get special chances to meet animals that regular visitors to Six Flags Wild Safari don't see. The resort offers both family and couples glamping suites. Each room leads to a private viewing deck. After watching wildlife all day, guests can relax by cozy fire pits or enjoy spa treatments.
Every stay at the resort comes with complimentary entry to all three Six Flags Great Adventure parks, a Wild Safari Tour, daily breakfast with an amazing view of wild animals strolling by, up-close animal encounters each day, and more perks to enhance your visit
Six Flags Wild Safari's nursery is full of new life. Three baby giraffes, including little Coral who showed up in December, now live here. Guests can feed these gentle giants by hand from their rooms.
Your Wild Safari Tour starts at basecamp where you are greeted by Rico the sloth. You then board a big safari truck to drive through the park's wild areas - from dusty plains to green grasslands. Friendly guides share cool stories about each animal's natural habitat.
