Six Flags Great Adventure will stretch its season into late November. A new GrateFUL November campaign offers free entry to military personnel and first responders. The Jackson park plans to remain open on selected dates from Nov. 6-30 once Fright Fest wraps up.

Military members and first responders get free single-day passes. Up to six relatives can purchase tickets for $19.99 on Nov. 6-8 and Nov. 15-16. Passholders who visit throughout the month can buy $20 bring-a-friend tickets.

Nov. 15 becomes a Day of Giving. Three organizations will benefit: Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal and Northern New Jersey, and A Kid Again. More than 3,000 tickets will go out, plus meals, drinks, and parking passes for families facing hard times.

Wild Safari closes Nov. 8. Visitors can see five new zebra foals before the animal park shuts down for winter.

This extension follows an earlier announcement about Holiday in the Park. That winter event, which ran for ten years at Great Adventure, is finished. Management wants to concentrate on "delivering exceptional guest experiences during our core operating season: spring through fall."

Six Flags Entertainment Corp. merged with Cedar Fair in July 2024. The deal cost $8 billion. Now the combined operation runs 42 parks, water attractions, and resorts.

Two parks will close when this season ends. California's Great America and Maryland's Six Flags America are shutting down. Money will shift to locations that perform better, and operations will get simpler after the merger.

In October, hedge-fund firm JANA Partners made a move. NFL star Travis Kelce and two executives from consumer and tech sectors joined in. The group bought about 9% of the company.

JANA intends to partner with the board and management. The goal? Boost shareholder value and make visits better for guests. According to NJBIZ, Kelce, who's loved these parks since childhood, said he couldn't pass up helping "make Six Flags special for the next generation."

GrateFUL November breaks new ground. Never before has the park rolled out such big discounts and charity programs during fall. Selected dates run through Nov. 30.
