Six Flags Great Adventure Opens March 28 for 2026 Season in Jackson

Six Flags Great Adventure kicks off its 2026 season Saturday, March 28. The Jackson amusement park made the announcement Jan. 20.

Wild Safari opens that same day. Visitors get a guided tour where they see animals from across the globe.

Hours run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on opening day. Wild Safari operates 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.

Opening day brings back rides, food stands, and shows. Park officials plan to release information about fresh experiences and special happenings as the months roll on.

The Jackson site first welcomed guests during summer 1974. A preview took place June 30, 1974, with regular operations starting July 1. The grand opening celebration happened around the July 4th holiday that year.

This marks year 52 for the park. It's been running in New Jersey for more than five decades now.

Rides at the park have thrilled visitors year after year. Runaway Train drew crowds. So did Lightning Loops and Batman. There's a log flume, sky ride, and Ferris wheel too.

Fright Fest pulls in big crowds to Jackson, and so does Heroes and Villains Fest. These limited-time programs happen on certain dates when the park is open.
