Matt Rife's Stay Golden World Tour pulled 18,486 fans on Saturday, Feb. 28. That shattered the old record. The comedian now holds the title for biggest comedy show in Prudential Center's 18-year history, topping Sebastian Maniscalco's March 2025 mark of 18,457.

The Newark arena has kept tabs on comedy crowds since its doors opened. Maniscalco also grabbed third place when 18,033 fans showed up in March of 2022. Kevin Hart packed in 16,956 during July of 2018, and Dane Cook brought 14,843 through the turnstiles back in May of 2009.

The building has bounced back after coronavirus restrictions hammered attendance. Country star Zach Bryan set a music record in March 2024 when 19,151 fans packed the seats.

Billboard's year-end rankings for 2025 put the arena at number nine among the world's top-grossing venues with 15,001-plus capacity, while Pollstar listed it at number twelve in that same group, according to Celebrity Access.com
