On Friday, December 6th, A Night in the Cold participants will brave the elements by sleeping outside for one night in the place of their choice.
A Night in the Cold is a peer-to-peer fundraising opportunity to raise crucial funds and awareness about the homeless families and individuals in our community. IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY: There are more than 1,000 homeless individuals each year in Morris County, which is why it’s so important to support Homeless Solutions.
In 2023, A Night in the Cold raised over $230,000 for those who need it most. With over 270 participants, it exceeded all expectations as the community joined to support the hundreds of homeless in our community and letting them know they are not alone. With your help, last year we were able to help over 600 people get back on their feet. For some it meant finding a job or a higher paying one, for others it was improving their credit score, and for many it was finding a home they could afford. For all, it meant “a Hand Up, not a HandOUT.”
HOW CAN YOUR ORGANIZATION OR CLUB HELP? We are looking for team leaders! Are you on sports team? Part of a faith community? In a club? Have a community-minded group of neighbors? As a team leader, your job is to inspire your team. We make it easy! We have a fundraising tool kit, and you can earn cool event swag. Your team can even can volunteer service hours. You can gather your friends and family together to participate in A Night in the Cold. The event runs from 8:00pm to 8:00am. Twelve short hours making impactful memories that will last a lifetime. You can participate and meet at a location you agree upon or do it at your individual homes if you would be more comfortable. This event is good for all ages, it is never too early to learn about the world around us. A good life lesson while helping others exponentially.
REGISTRATION? It costs just $35.00 to register and you will be given all of the information you need to create a personal campaign page to make it easy for your friends, family and associates to support you. There will be activities throughout the night with chances to earn even more in donations. Swag items will be given out to participants that meet minimum requirements.
