Born in 1966, Jason John Bonham is the son of the legendary late John Bonham. Showing he had a knack for the drums much like his father, he has been drumming since he was five years old. Due to the immense skill Jason has behind the kit, he has played and toured with some of the world’s biggest and best rock acts. From playing on Paul Rodgers’ Grammy nominated Muddy Waters tribute, to playing Woodstock II with Slash in 1994, to touring with UFO and Foreigner, Jason has racked up a reputation for being in-demand. And it’s not just the rest of the rock world that wants him, as for the few times Led Zeppelin’s other members decided they wanted to reunite, Jason has been asked to fill in for his father, including the legendary reunion concert in tribute to Ahmet Ertegun.
Outside of all the other work Jason has found himself doing with legends of rock, since 2009 Jason has found himself coming back to one massive project, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening. Touring extensively throughout the world, the band performs many of the hits of Led Zeppelin. These shows are nothing to slouch at too, as they are not the cover band you go see at your local bar, but rather a massive spectacle honoring the legend that is all things Zeppelin. Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening has played with the likes of Heart, Kid Rock, and most recently Gov’t Mule on their Dark Side of the Mule tour. Now, the band is coming back around once again on their own headlining tour, looking to play even deeper into Led Zeppelin’s catalog than they ever could in an opening slot.
