See Pink Talking Fish at The Wellmont Theater on Saturday, April 26th!

Pink Talking Fish is the tribute band to end all tribute bands. On one side, you have the juggernauts of psychedelic rock Pink Floyd. On another side you have Talking Heads, a titan of rock, new wave, and post-punk with a cult-like following. And on a third side you have one of the biggest jam bands in the world, Phish.

Pink Talking Fish, comprised of bassist Eric Gould, keyboard player Richard James, drummer Zack Burwick, and guitarist Cal Kehoe, takes the music from all three and slams them together into a Hybrid Tribute Fusion Act that any music lover can enjoy. Although each band makes music that, for the most part, is vastly different, the band found a way to put the songs together to give them new life with their fusion twist.

Between fitting songs together like Pink Floyd’s “On The Run” getting sandwiched in the middle of Phish’s “You Enjoy Myself”, layering parts of songs together like putting parts of Phish’s “Sand” over the groove of Talking Head’s “Slippery People”, or just finding the perfect segue between bands, Pink Talking Fish has figured out the formula to make their performance worth seeing.

This time around, the band will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the critically acclaimed Wish You Were Here (1975).
