Join us for WDHA’s Thanks-Guitar-Ving 2023 with Mammoth WVH & Nita Strauss at the Starland Ballroom on November 17th!
Wolfgang Van Halen, son of the legendary Eddie Van Halen, found commercial success with his band Mammoth WVH in 2021 when he released his single “Distance”, which is a tribute to his late father. The band’s 14-track, self-titled debut album was released on June 11, 2021 with 3 additional tracks being included on the Deluxe Edition. Since then, Mammoth WVH has toured with Guns N’ Roses, Shinedown, Halestorm, and more solidifying their place in rock.
Mammoth WVH will be dropping their second album simply titled “Mammoth WVH II” on Friday, August 4th. The band announced this new album in March of this year when they released a powerful new single entitled “Another Celebration at the End of the World”, which features a driving, upbeat verse, catchy chorus, and blistering guitar solo towards the end that would surely make the late, great Eddie proud. We can’t wait for the full album to drop!
WDHA has partnered with Wolfgang/Mammoth on more than one occasion. They were part of WDHA’s 40 Something Anniversary show with Alter Bridge and offered us a signed Wolfgang Van Halen guitar as part of a “Wolfgang Wednesday” giveaway, just to name a couple of moments. WDHA is stoked to work with the camp again this November for our “Thanks-Guitar-Ving” show… You do the carving, we do Guitar-Ving!
Mammoth WVH is joined by the incredible Nita Strauss, a guitar virtuoso with a very impressive and diverse resume. Her rise to fame began with her work in the all-female Iron Maiden tribute band called The Iron Maidens. Since then, she has been the official in-house guitarist for the arena football band LA KISS owned by both Gene & Paul of KISS and was Alice Cooper’s guitarist for a number of years. Her solo album “The Call of the Void” is a powerful guitar driven metal album featuring well-known artists like Lzzy Hale, David Draiman, Lilith Czar, Alice Cooper, Marty Friedman, Alissa White-Glutz, Chris Motionless, Anders Friden, and Dorothy.
Tickets on sale Friday, July 21st at starlandballroom.com.
