This 12-member ensemble boasts soaring vocal harmonies, precision string instrumentation, powerful percussion, and stunning keyboard work, layered around a rich storyboard that evokes memories and emotions of December’s past! From rock and pop, to ballads, and even a visit from Mrs. Claus – there is something for everyone! Don’t miss their electrifying performance, captivating audiences of all ages.

Formed in 2009, The Wizards of Winter is a progressive rock amalgamation of all things holiday. Originally formed as a way to give back to their local community by Scott and Sharon Kelly with Steve Ratchen, the successful performance led to more in 2010, and from there they knew they were on to something. In 2011 they released Tales Beneath a Northern Star, their own Christmas themed rock opera.

They would release two more albums in 2014 and 2015 titled The Wizards of Winter and The Magic of Winter full of original music. At this point, the band went from playing a handful of shows in their local area to touring the country. While on tour, the band loves to stick to their charitable roots. They have supported several charities over the years including BackPack Friends and Tunnels to Towers. On top of that, they donate everything they earn from the single “March Of The Metal Soldiers” to the Wounded Warrior Project.

The Wizards of Winter take inspiration from the legendary Trans-Siberian Orchestra, with the name even coming from their track “Wizards in Winter”. Over the years, the group has been lucky enough to tour with five of the original members of TSO, with Guy LeMonnier and Tony Gaynor becoming full members of the band, as well as one of TSO’s drummers John O. Reilly joining as well.

In 2019, the group released The Christmas Dream and most recently released a two-volume live album simply titled The Wizards of Winter Live Volume I & Volume II (2024). Now, it’s time for the group to come back around once again, with this year’s tour stopping at the Shea Center for Performing Arts in Wayne, New Jersey, part of William Paterson University.
