National Radio Day- What does it mean? Well, to me it means the community that IS radio.
It's Terrie Carr, and as you know WDHA IS The Rock Of New Jersey- We have been here for close to 50 years, being a part of your lives, breaking new artists, turning new rockers into classics, celebrating milestones, mourning the sad times with you, partying with you, bringing you live music, experiences and more. This is what live radio does. It's practically impossible to take you through our journey together in 25 photos, so let's do a two-part-er!
I chose a bunch of random WDHA photos- (literally) and came up with vintage memories of Rock The Park, Clam and Jam, Suntan Jam, In-Studio, and more.
A Few WDHA Facts-
WDHA stands for "Drexel Hill Associates" our first station owners Bob Linder and Peter Arnow.
Bob and Peter had a vision and I'm so thankful that not only did I get to work for them, but that they believed in the power of a local, Morris County station that has grown massively over the last 40 plus years.
The station launched on rt. 10 in Randolph and moved to our Cedar Knolls home in 1990. shortly after that, Bob and Peter sold WDHA and our sister station WMTR (which shares our building space)
What A History!
There are SO MANY MEMORIES! If you have one, email me at TC@WDHAFM.COM - follow me in Instagram as well and let me know. Photos welcome of course.
I'm also proud and grateful for everyone who has been a part of our radio family on air and off.
Our listeners, advertisers, staff, interns, and all the animals who have been a part of our journey on Rock N' Ruff! What a fun ride it's been.
Every day for WDHA is "National Radio Day"- Every day- because we spend it with you - our WDHA listening family.
