When I started the WDHA Rock N' Ruff program some people said - "Rock and Rescue"? Really? REALLY!

Our friends in the rock community have always been the first to step in to donate items, play for pups at our events, and go out of their way to support the cause  The amazing guys in Theory Of A Deadman were there from the beginning.

Many years ago, Tyler and Dave from the band  decided  to see how a shelter runs and came with me to Sammy's Hope in Sayreville -(when they played down the road at Starland Ballroom) hanging with the animals, meeting the staff and donating their time (pre-show day) to support a great cause. Tyler cleaned cages, Dave went INTO the cages of a few traumatized dogs and gently played his guitar. It was really incredible.  Tyler also played an acoustic performance during lockdown for our "Virtual Eleventh Hour Rescue Puptoberfest" and Dean checked in to talk about his awesome cats, to help EHR with their fundraising.

This past week I received a surprise email from - Plus1.Org who told me that the band chose Eleventh Hour Rescue   to partner with here in New Jersey and will be donating $1 from every ticket sold on their concert tour to EHR and another charity.  I was blown away. After connecting everyone, I found out on Friday that the band raised close to 10K for EHR in just a few days.

This year has been one of the toughest in animal rescue since I started Rock N' Ruff.  Some of our valuable shelter partners are barely holding on.

The guys in Theory are some of the best people I know. Tyler, Dave, Dean and Joey are great people who actually give a ---t.  They care. Thanks for helping those that can't speak for themselves and being so generous.

I found the photos from that fantastic day at Sammy's Hope so please check them out. We were there for hours and had a blast.

Theory Of A Deadman has a new record coming in February and a Starland show in Feb as well. If you see them give them a big thank you for the animals!
