  • Greetings From the Garden State - Jersey Fest Coming In November

This week on our Greetings From the Garden State segment, Mike Ham give us the 411 on the next Jersey Fest event coming soon to the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park.

  • September - Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and Jim Monaghan’s guest this morning on Jersey Magazine is Keith R. Stowell, MD, MSPH, MBA, Chief Medical Officer for RWJBarnabas Health – Behavioral Health Services, and Rutgers Health – University Behavioral Health Care.

Suicide is the 12th leading cause of death here in the United States, which is a staggering number.

When you break it down by age, the number of young people between the ages of 10 and 19 who take their own lives is even more heartbreaking.

Jim Monaghan and Dr. Stowell discuss warning signs to look for, and ways to help someone who may in fact show suicidal tendencies.

  • Rock N Ruff

    Denville Animal Shelter ROCKS!

The Denville Animal Shelter Rocks and I should know, because that is where I found my best friend, my ride-or-die, 10-pound bodyguard- ROSIE CARR!

It’s Terrie Carr and this week on Rock N’ Ruff we highlight a spectacular, young dog named ZOEY from The Denville Animal Shelter.

Zoey is a German Shepherd mix, a great medium size, under a year old, SO friendly, SO lovable, loves to give kisses, get pets, hang by your side, go for walks, is active and social, and does well with other, respectful doggies. And Zoey is SO PRETTY! She smiles all the time – look!

    Zoey On Rock N’ Ruff

Zoey is a young dog, so training is always recommended and with her high energy level if you are looking for a walking companion, she’s a GREAT pup to take on adventures! I connected with this sweet, gorgeous girl, who deserves life out of the shelter and a family of her own.

Shelters Are Full These Days- VERY

As you can hear in my brief interview with Animal Control Officer Meredith Petrillo who brought Zoey to us, people surrender their pets at record rates. It’s truly heartbreaking. If you can’t adopt, please foster or donate to your local shelter, they need us now. The Denville Animal Shelter is dedicated to caring for pets until they find their forever homes, regardless of how much time it takes. Meredith does a fantastic job finding the perfect homes for the animals in her care. We are hoping Zoey has the chance to shine (especially being so young) as soon as possible in her own home, with her own family to love. She’s a perfect girl.

Please reach out to Meredith at 973-983-7538 OR [email protected] OR check out the Denville Animal Shelter on Facebook
