Each weekday at around 3:20 in the afternoon I play a metal artist for my “Metal With Mike” feature.  Yesterday I played Nu Metal band Limp Bizkit. Afterward, I got several emails and phone calls from listeners saying either Limp Bizkit’s not metal or that they just suck.

Well, while I understand that they’re not for everyone, I do have to say – there’s a reason they’ve sold millions of records worldwide; they write hard rockin’ tunes with catchy hooks that appeal to a lot of people.

If you’ve never really given The Bizkit a chance, here are some top moments that prove that they rock hard!

• FAITH from their album “Three Dollar Bill Y’all”

  That’s right throughout an album of genre-bending, hard-hitting rock, Limp Bizkit manages to make George Michael’s classic tune HEAVY!  It’s fun, catchy, and even has some screaming at the end which is cool to try and imitate.

• BREAK STUFF from their album “Significant Other”

  There’s no denying that when you’re having a bad day or just need to blow off some steam, this song is perfect to bang your head to.  Create your own solo mosh pit or just sing along…..either way, it releases endorphins to make you happier (That’s not actual science…..just my belief!)

  Oh, and the video has some cool cameos!

• ROLLIN’ from their album “Chocolate Starfish and The Hot Dog Flavored Water”

  One of those pinnacle car-driving songs. Wonderfully fusing hip-hop and rock, the way Limp Bizkit is known for.  It’s an infectious groove with Fred Durst’s easy-to-remember catchy chorus lyrics.

• Woodstock 99 Performance

  They knew how to bring a live show. And still do. While the crowd got a little out of control, you can see how awesome Durst and company sounded while on stage. An impressive performance!
