Today let’s take a look at 5 Desert Island Albums You Need. I know, being stranded on a desert island is not an ideal situation, but I think music would help. And I’d love to know what you think are great albums to have with you if that is where you also wound up.
I got most of these ideas for albums from our DHA listeners. I asked my Questions of the Day yesterday afternoon and a lot of listeners chimed in with a few albums they would want with them. Of course, some said it was too difficult of a question to answer. And I do agree….it’s challenging. In any case, I played back some songs from some of the albums listed for First Call Last Call at 5 pm, just in time for the ride home from work.
Now, I’m going to say that I don’t think the albums you would want with you even have to be your absolute favorites. I know that sounds funny but hear me out. I have several albums which are my favorites. However, some of them have a song or even a couple of songs that I am not that into. Sometimes I wind up skipping them. Metallica’s Master Of Puppets is one of my favorite albums, but there is one song in particular I rarely listen to! So, I would think on a desert island you would want with you, albums that you don’t need to skip around at all!
That’s just my opinion. But I think it makes sense. I mean these are killer albums with not a bad song on them and that keeps it easy as you’re hunting for food or setting up shelter on the island! Don’t get me wrong, some of these albums could make my list of favorites, but as I said, more importantly, they are just awesome albums with all killer tracks!
