TC here and most of you know how much I love hanging with dogs. MY two rescue dogs especially – “Whole Lotta Rosie Carr” and “Stardust Carr” were both rescued from the Denville Animal Shelter in Denville New Jersey.

It’s so important to keep our dogs occupied, engaged, socialized, and active and as we all know, we are their cruise directors! So when my girls are looking for some action out of “Casa De Carr” it’s great to know that we have so many places in our great state.

I’m going to start with a few northern New Jersey spots where not only your dogs can have a blast, but you can too with great cocktails, food, music and fun!

• Jersey Girl Brewing- Sand Shore Road- Hackettstown

  
  Awesome Beer on tap. amazing staff and lovers of dogs, Jersey Girl offers music and a welcoming, fun atmosphere for you and your dog in their beautiful outdoor space. Open Wednesday through Sunday they also host adoption events to help local shelters as well. Chuck and his dynamite staff have such a great space for drinking and dogs!

• Thatcher McGees- 53 Broadway- Denville

  Everyone who lives locally in the Denville area knows how awesome Thatcher’s is but did you know the outdoor seating area is dog friendly? Yup…So grab your pooch and bring your appetite for Irish fare, great drinks, and some fun!

• Starbucks- Main Street - Denville

  Their coffee is legendary to us, but did you know that their Puppuccino’s are becoming legendary coming too?

  While you can’t bring your pup inside, bring a friend, have them grab a coffee, some lite food, and of course the sweet treat for your best friend.

• Ruthie's BBQ & Pizza - Chestnut Street- Montclair

  I LOVE Ruthie’s! Their BBQ is fantastic and don’t forget to try their pizza. But Ruthie’s is extra special because they actually have a fido-friendly menu and btw amazing music. Blues, Jazz, Zydeco…..so fun! Voted best BBQ in Essex County and written up in numerous publications, It’s a must-visit.

• Czig Meister Brewing - 106 Valentine St- Hackettstown

  

  With jars of treats prominently displayed and a love of animals as a mantra, the delicious craft beers are a must try and the dog-friendly environment is so welcoming. Czig Meister has also teamed up with many charitable organizations for fundraising including Antler Ridge Sanctuary to help raise funds and awareness.
