Let’s visit 5 of my favorite comfort food spots in North Jersey!
It’s officially Fall 2023! And with shorter days, colder nights and the need for warmth and energy, nothing beats delicious comfort food. Comfort food is usually a bit higher in calories, carbs and yummy taste and is well worth the splurge! It can be eaten really for any meal. Breakfast comfort foods include French toast and fluffy waffles and sandwiches, lunch of course feeds us hot soups, overstuffed sandwiches and chilis and dinner gives us great burgers and more. And of course dessert is a comfort food staple and a few of these places offer yummy endings to your comfort feast. (Try the banana pudding at Gary and Megs sooooooooooo good!)
Comfort foods can also remind us of pleasant memories, childhood feelings and occasions like Birthdays, Vacations and Anniversaries. Basically things that make us feel good (and obviously taste good too!) and give us a feeling of well being and …well…comfort! Soups, Mac and Cheese, even desserts- the list goes on and so does the New Jersey comfort of great places to find some awesome meals for the fall.
Let’s start in North Jersey with five stellar places that serve up different kinds of comfort foods to warm the soul and feed the stomach. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner – These five places have it all. Culture and Comfort too!
Sandwich shops, unique joints, deli’s and more. Lets cruise the northern part of the state and hopefully help you find a new, awesome favorite spot to visit and get “comfortable” or head back to a favorite comfort spot you haven’t visited in awhile.
