2025 is setting up to be an epic year for rock music with rumored new releases from Nine Inch Nails, Shinedown, Mammoth WVH, Finger Eleven, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, Dream Theater, and more. I'm not kidding! Pretty epic, right?

With so much buzz about new music, I decided to focus on the early part of the year, and some of the releases I am looking forward to in the first quarter of 2025.

I'm so inspired that my list includes so many heavy females in music. AND this list features new rockers and some who have been around for a while. The one common thread on this particular Top 5 is that all of these songs ROCK! Bangers, Face Melters, and power tunes that all go to 15!

Mark Tremonti is an epic talent. His boundaries are limitless, his ability is mind blowing. I can't wait for this one!

Dorothy is one of the most compelling talents in rock music. She has described her new release (sometime in early 2025) as the heaviest record she's done. WOWZA!

Canada's Heavy Metal Progressive Newbies Spiritbox will release their second album "Tsunami Sea" on March 7th.
Courtney LaPlante is an amazing front woman and vocalist. I have only seen them open for others and look forward to a full headlining Spiritbox tour!

Italian Metal Band Lacuna Coil will release their 10th record "Sleepless Empire" on March 7th. It's their first since 2019 and features 11 NEW , HEAVY Hitters. It's almost impossible to believe Christina Scabbia and the boys have been around for 30 years! They sound as fresh and HEAVY as they did in the 1990's.

Ukrainian metal freight train Jinger is led by Tatiana Shmayluk and will melt your face off.  Their 5th full length release "Duel" is out of February 7th and is bound to be a groundbreaker for the band.
