A popular question on my First Call Last Call feature is to ask for favorite songs from a band when one of the members is celebrating a birthday. That’s what happened yesterday. Angus Young of AC/DC celebrates his birthday this weekend, so yesterday I asked him to listen to favorite AC/DC songs. With the data in, let’s take a look at 5 Rocking AC/DC Songs according to Jersey!
AC/DC is an unusual band. Their insanely cool and exciting vocalist Bon Scott passed away early, so what did they do? They marched on. He was replaced, but not forgotten by Brian Johnson. With Brian, they release Back In Black, one of the most successful and influential hard rock albums of all time. It’s pretty crazy when you think about it, but it’s true!
Angus and his brother Malcolm have been staples in the band for years up until Malcolm’s passing a few years ago. Angus is known for his clothes on stage – more specifically his schoolboy uniform. He’s a wonderful guitar player, contributing to some of rock’s biggest hits. Actually, he’s the only remaining original member of AC/DC.
Angus was just 18 when he and his brother formed AC/DC in 1973, probably not realizing what worldwide fame they would achieve. It’s kind of mind-boggling and fun to watch them. They have had periods where it seemed like they reached their limit, such as the late 80’s. But Then they released The Razor’s Edge and things turned around.
To this day they remain one of the biggest and most influential bands ever. With songs about rock and roll, drinking, sex, and more, it’s clear to say why they have such popularity!
I got some great answers for my favorite AC/DC songs with my question so I think we should take a look at 5 Rocking AC/DC Songs according to Jersey.
