Let me rewind and bring you up to date on how and why they came to be and answer some questions that are frequently asked about our unique and fun rocking events.
WDHA Parking Lot Parties were born in 2022 as our friends in CROBOT were stopping by the station to play and instead of packing people into our radio station studio post Covid-19, we thought if we did the station. performance visit in our Parking Lot, not only would we have waaaaay more room, but we could also invite 5 times the amount of people and make it a real rock and roll shin-dig!
If you build it, they will come! And gaining entrance to our lot for a band performance, lunch, and hanging with friends is now one of our most popular station activities.

Here are 5 frequently asked questions about our PLP’s and we hope to see you in the HOT LOT this summer!
Can I Just Show Up To The Parking Lot? And can I bring a guest?
Nope, you must win your way in online or on the air. We check id’s as your car is entering to make sure our winners are properly on the guest list. And you are always plus one. Bring a friend OR come alone and hang with WDHA family and friends.

Where Do I Park? In The Lot?
YES! Our WDHA Parking Lot is large so if you are there in the 15-minute window we tell you to arrive, you can grab a space. There is plenty of room and we will direct you! If you arrive once the performance starts, however, you may be asked to park at an adjacent lot next door so as to not distract from our performance OR hurt anyone in the lot!

Is There Food?
Of course! We wouldn’t invite you to a party and not feed you! Our friends from Tapt Event Services Tapt Event Services bring the food, tailgate party, and drinks (soft drinks) and you can eat and drink as much as you want on us! Bring your appetite to the parking lot and a beach or launch chair if you’d like as we have lots of trees and some folks like to grab a shady spot.

What Is The Performance Like?
Our rockers usually perform 3-4 songs acoustically (some semi-plugged) and the experience is very intimate. You can take photos, and videos and bring something to get signed as most of our artists are very accessible to the audience (of roughly 50 winners) and make time to sign, take a photo, and have a chat. It’s awesome! Some bands even set up am merch table if you want to buy a shirt or some music!
